April Update

We wanted to give you an update of what has being going on with LDJ!  We are so thankful that LDJ had a successful trip to Zimbabwe in spite of COVID-19. Rebecca's time in Zimbabwe was cut short due to the pandemic.  Shalisa and Rebecca had lots of delays and cancellations with trying to get back home but they finally made it safely.  Rebecca's trip was cut short but still a great success. They are finally out of quarantine and doing great! Thanks for the prayers!

There are so many stories! We have chosen a few stories to share with videos below!   Listen below and see how your giving made this possible.

We hope you enjoy the photos and videos give an overview of our year so far!  We appreciate your prayers and your giving! Thank so much! None of this would be possible without your generosity!

Executive Director of LDJ Ministries

Story of Impact.
LDJ Library is open!
The library is up and running!  We are so excited that we were able to take about 60 books to the youth in Zimbabwe! We have our very own Youth Librarian, her name is Shantel. She will be opening the library every Tuesday, for students to check-in, check-out books! We are so excited about the library and hope to take books each time we go! Please donate books if you have them! The kids want Fiction, so please help us grow our fiction section. We ask that any thing you donate be appropriate, no new age materials, horror, or mature audience books. Please know we will not take books that we feel are not appropriate.  Thanks so much for giving books!
We were able to put on another LDJ Event! Shalisa Francis, who is the Assistant Executive Director of LDJ was able to share a word of encouragement with the kids. It was a great event the youth had a great time and there were more than 140 kids in attendance.
The Executive Director of LDJ created a journal for the youth!  We launched it this time we were in Zimbabwe and it has been a great success.  Below is a video with Rebecca sharing stories of how students used the journal to process  their day. We are hoping to get the journals officially published so we can take a few hundred back when we go to Zimbabwe next trip!
